At least change the damn 5.4 3V. No reason the Expedition shouldn't at least have the 5.0 4V IMO.

Agreed. I hate the wheel wells in the GM trucks. It looks ridiculous.
I love the new Ford, it will probably be my next truck. I'm not worried about the aluminum body at all.
GM has already stated that it will be years before they make the switch to aluminum. As usual GM is late to the party when it comes to innovation and new technology.

ETA: The platinum does have ALOT of Chrome on it. Once I saw the pictures of the FX4, i liked it a little more. It will probably grow on me.

With how often I already accidentally hit the alarm on the remote, I see myself causing immeasurable damage with this button.

if by this you mean it has A LOT less chrome than the current platinum does, then you'd be right
other than the grille and mirror caps, i dont see much chrome
