Perhaps.
I forgot about the revolutionary war. I really couldn't tell you much about the fighting styles of those other wars.
Seems like they would have been ready for it or adapted to it.

Worked with a Dr named Rodney Jung, who was a huge antigue gun collector and war historian... He said the war stretched from the area of the Chalmette BF to Bayou Bievinue with most skirmishes happening closer to the bayou...

Doctor is wrong. Main battle was at the battlefield.
The night time skirmish happened just downriver like in that graphic along the Villiere canal, where the British had camped(took over) at the plantation house.
They came in by way of Bayou Bienvenue from Lake Borgne, yes.

They didn't have to adapt to it. They were a dominate European power. Their problem was projection of force across an ocean that took weeks to cross. We never "beat" them until we were able to stand toe to toe with them.
