Who remembers the bicentennial year? I was 9 years old. Summers night catching lightening bugs, bike riding round town, neighborhood fireworks, fire hydrants painted in colonial themes. I'd like to go back to July 4th, 1976.

It's hazy, but I remember it some. I wasn't 9. I was actually engaged.

This is too many syllables for a haiku.

My ole man purchased a lawn mower back in 1976 and it had red white and blue stars and stripes all over it. I felt like a proud American for years to come every time he made me do the lawn.

This summer when you're being inundated with all this American bicentennial Fourth of July brouhaha, don't forget you're celebrating the fact that a bunch of slave owning, aristocratic, white males didn't want to pay their taxes.

The 500 year anniversary of the Islam religion Muslims going into Africa and enslaving Africans is approaching. Those aristocrat white males would not have had any Africans to purchase if it wasn't for Islam enslaving Africans.

Well, except my balls, they were blue.

11 years old at beach watching fireworks
I had my first girlfriend, and kids were free to roam and have adventures in those days. I’m not sure what I did, but I’m sure it involved the girlfriend and a bike.
