Sounds like she has no problem revealing to the world what an idiot she is that got drunk as shite and she's now bitching about how she didn't plan ahead or learn about surge pricing.

I need to get in on this....provide cheap rides to an area without public transit, then gouge the shite out of them on the ride back when they have few, if any other options.
Usually not in areas without public transit. Or there are at least cabs available as well.
If you didn't know about the surge pricing ahead of time, it's oversight on your part. The app tells you. And if you've ever used it before, you know that if it's a time when demand will be high the rates will increase.
I don't mind it. That way if you're willing to pay more, you can get one, if not, you'll just wait it out. Rather than have a shitload of people waiting all night for a car to be sent at the regular rate cough BR yellow cab cough

If Cad hates it I love it. Apple, Amazon, Über, etc...

Are you trying to shite on Republicans/conservatives? Bc we like things like Uber - market competition brings up the quality of services and decreases the price, that's the nature of capitalism which is an extremely Conservative principle. Everything about Uber is painted with conservative beliefs and principles. Liberals would be the type to say everyone needs a ride at the same price, better companies don't deserve to push out incumbent companies, supply and demand is the devil, stupid crap, etc
Oh and if I misinterpreted you and you were shitting on Democrats, my bad, try to be more clear tho

Ever have problems in the city getting an Uber? Seemed very responsive in my short stay there.

It was pretty clear he was calling out people who claim they are conservative but don't like this "price gouging"

Why didn't she just use public transportation?

I'm living and working in Arlington-Courthouse. It seemed like a cool place.

Ah gotcha. Carry on then.
I'll throw in my opinion on Uber though, I've used it and had very good drivers and generally low fares. My last driver told me they make 80% of the fares charged, including during surges. Generally more drivers start driving when surge pricing goes into effect, get a customer or two, then surge pricing goes down, except extreme cases like gamedays. Surge pricing is also area specific. Places where many people are calling for Uber will get surges but places within a few miles might not have surges. Waiting 15 mins or leaving 15 mins before the rush or walking a couple blocks could drop your surge pricing to normal price
