Freaks me out that it was so long ago. I remember when Prince came out with "1999" (this was 1982 BTW) and everyone thinking how long in the future that was. Makes me feel old.

Rooftop of Plaza Tower building with an engineer buddy from Channel 4. After we realized that 1) nothing was going to happen and 2) the folks from the 'jets be shootin' (at the obvious and nearby target of the 45-story building), we beat a hasty retreat.

Man, in 1999 I had a great girlfriend, absolutely no debt, and was in the best shape of my life. 3rd grade was awesome.

I was home on leave and at a party at a friend's house. His gf was hooking me up w/ one of her friends... cute chick. Things were going good but she was doing a ton of shots. I told her she might want to slow down a bit since it was still early but she assured me she was a world champion drinker.
She ended up puking all over his living room and passing out in the spare bedroom where I was supposed to sleep. I slept on the pool table.
