What is surreal is the pic that he posted around 5:45 yesterday afternoon .. was probably minutes before this happened .. Looks like a sweet little boy .. impressed with all the donations family and friends have made toward funeral expenses .. I recognize a number of names on the donation list .. all are just wonderful people, IRL .. people can knock and make fun of LP all they want .. but that community comes together impressively in the face of tragedies like this .. they really do ..

Yeah social media can actually be a great thing in raising money for stuff like that. I have nothing against people starting gofundme accts for stuff like that. But if you were the one involved directly.....just maybe not a good idea to post on your fb at all. Lay low and reach out to friends/family privately.
I have family in LP so not surprised that people are quick to help. That's just how they are out there. We make fun of them for other reasons.....but you can't deny they will come together quick in times of need.

He is getting a ton of support from his friends. It's good that he has a strong support system in place as I am sure there will be many rough days ahead for him.
Unfortunately, lost in all of this is the young boy who lost his life so tragically. I'm going to do my part and contribute to the Go Fund Me fund and I challenge the rest of you to do the same.

He was arrested twice .. in the same year! if you click on his pics on the bottom, there is one from 1/28/12 and 12/4/12 .. I guess the "ha ha, he was judging a bikini contest in Pensacola after he was kicked out of the town" was a reference to him being arrested twice there ??

I understand the parents of tha 12 year old were away at another Fourth party. Who was supposed to be supervising the child? Was the man driving the 4 wheeler babysitting?

To be fair....the child was 12....not 5. Hell I was babysitting on my own at that age. So it's not like he needed an adult keeping eyes on him every single moment. Think when you were that's age and at family get togethers. I know our parents knew where we were at, but if we wanted to go play in the woods or go fishing at my grandparent's pond....they didn't follow our every move at that age.

Looks like the guy doesn't take any responsibility or has any shame with the fact that he ran afoul with the law, multiple times in the same year .. Almost takes it as a "Red Badge of Courage" .. Yes, we're dealing with a true Boy Scout here ..
