Like at the airport:

this leaving your shopping carts wherever, not even taking it to a cart stall 30 ft away, is out of control.

You should have to swipe your card, or insert $1, that you get back when you return the cart.

If you don't want your $1 back, whoever (bums) can do it for you for that $1.

I think this is a decent solution for the "people" of this world.

I like the idea, but I'd like to see the deposit return stations where you normally drop the cart off. I don't understand all the lazy people out there that just leave their cart and drive off

I'd gladly lose my dollar to watch you walk across the parking lot to fetch my cart

People against this idea probably drive trucks, have rims, or both. Something about that dynamic manifests itself in inconsiderate actions.

I'm not doing the 16 year old kids job for him. Damn millennials always crying. I should get a tip for bringing back the cart.

Bums jumping people and stealing carts is going to be rampant

Please tell me y'all thought of that
It's a decent concept. But if you use cash, someone is gonna steal your cart and return it to get that dollar. I've seen people do a lot more for a dollar. shite I wish I could unsee

This has already been done countless times at stores and never seems to last long. They usually charged a quarter though.

What do you have against high school kids working a part time job? Trying to eliminate their position? I bet you sympathize with ISIS. You Sir are un-American.

FYI. I always put my cart back and despise people who leave it in the middle of a perfectly good parking spot.

The typical ones that don't bring carts back to the corral more than likely got the entire cart full of free food, complements of the government.
Somehow our government will figure out a way to supplement those that $1 deposit, so that it won't take away time from those looking for a job.

Back in high school I worked at target for a week or two as a favor for the manager. I got paid $10/hour for returning carts and it was legit a fun arse job. I'd just pop ear phones in and go and take a smoke break when I felt like. Any kid that has that job and complains is a spoiled bitch that won't make it in the real world. Literally easiest job ever. Even in the summer time it wasn't that bad

I tend to pick up carts from the middle of the lot and use them. No trucks or rims here, just don't feel like looking for a $1 bill and screwing with a machine that will be broken 75% of the time.

In my opinion, this would lead to more people trying to shop without using a cart and in turn, have more groceries dropped or broken throughout the store.

Just do it like Aldi...you return your cart, you get your quarter back. They don't have to hire anyone to round up carts.

The guys who used to pump your gas, check your oil and tire pressure thought why should they do the job when the customer is perfectly able to do it themselves. Those same guys collect shopping carts these days.

I don't carry cash or change on me and I'm not going to scrounge around couch cushions for it every time I need to go to the grocery store. Your ideas are about punishing those who do right in hopes to 'fix' lazy assholes. That's never worked thru the history of this country.

BTW, go eat a dick...YOURE FIRED!!!!!
