Name the Edge rusher on the market right now that the Saints could get for $5 million.

Just cause you have money doesn’t mean you waste it. This is a guy no other team would clear medically so theres a high likelihood we’re paying him to rehab and sit at home. Not sure how you don’t get that?

Investing in injured Defensive Ends has really worked out for the Saints.

Yeah. Being ranked almost last in sacks is a sure sign to just give up trying. Maybe just follow Kipers draft advice.

Throwing money at a dissapointing top end pick who is scheduled for neck surgery in a few days is not the answer.

Would you have matched or exceeded the money Roach got?
Would you keep Cam. Had his worst year since his first year. Could be done.
Do you dump Turner?
Do you dump Foskey?
Do you sign someone to replace the legend that is Cam. This could have repercussions in the locker room and ticket sales.
Who was/is your FA target? Tackle? DE?
Draft is a crap shoot. What are you doing there for the Dline?

I personally hope he comes in and wreaks havoc on the line. Maybe with Cam jawing in his ear and in a new system, he'll flourish. He'll take a seat next to Penning if he can't perform.

Wtf is this? Are you interviewing me to be the saints gm?

Ok Gayle here goes-

- no losing Roach was ok; you move on and develop some younger guys; also hope Bresee takes the next step.
- keep Cam but limit his reps to make his impact better and keep him fresh.
- no need to dump turner or foskey. Kind of dumb questions there.
- you dont replace Cam. You find guys at this stage of his career to help him. Signing granderson was a smart move.
- well hard to have free agent targets when Mickey fricked up the cap. Cant really chase anyone when im constantly asking players to restructure just to get under the cap. Tell me the money i have to work with- I’ll tell you my targets.
- draft is always a crap shoot but you draft the best ol/dl available. If dallas turner or olu drop to you- they both are the most sure things in the draft. What I dont do is reach for a D2 tackle like Penning in the first and think he’s your starting left tackle in 2 years.

Now my question to you Gayle- would we have all these issues if Mickey just resigned the legit pass rusher we did have (Hendrickson) or wasn’t constantly mismanaging the cap?

Ok. Go.

So you admit you have trouble reading, that Mickey sucks as GM and the organization has mismanaged the cap under him. Where did I admit we should sign Young? Damn must be hard living life not knowing how to read properly. Glad we had that talk.

Now go back to screaming at everyone who criticizes the saints as being low IQ because they have a differing opinion than yours and going on some crazy emotional rant as always.

When your several question response backfires because I answered every single one of them- so your comeback is that I’m Tom Benson’s daughter. Great burn there lol.

You admitted you have no plan other than what we already did this off-season. All you can say is we mismanaged the cap yet have no idea what goes into it yourself

All you can do is generically say we mismanaged the cap because you have no substance to your argument and no understanding of the cap yourself. You’re a simpleton skyscreamer like the rest of them

Lol and you do???? Haha calling someone simpleton with no retort in talking about your knowledge about the salary cap doesn’t make you some intelligent football guru. Newsflash for you- you may think listening to Underhill and finishing the 8th grade makes you somehow smarter- it really doesn’t.

There are people here who have graduate education, have worked in sports before and don’t berate people for differing opinions like you do. Be an adult and argue with intelligence and knowledge not name calling and emotions.

I answered your dumb arse questions. Hard to make a plan when you don’t know the exact money you’re working from a salary cap standpoint because Mickey is constantly restructuring just to free up money.

That being said- you don’t have to have an elaborate plan to criticize Loomis on what hes doing now. You guys will defend what Loomis does by attacking posters on here because they don’t have a plan??! What exactly is Loomis plan? To gamble on injured DEs, hope the draft pick pans out and magically hope Carr has a career year? And you guys are ok with that??

Here’s the deal. If it comes out that he is having a fusion, people are going to lose their shite when he isn’t playing until early November-ish.

I had a lumbar / thoracic fusion and it is not a huge deal to come back from, but he will need the time to heal. You’re looking at a 9 month full recovery period if that is the case. Training ramps up after that time and would take 2-3 months to be close to 100%.

Given this is a neck, he should be able to work his lower body much sooner than if it were a lumbar issue so that timeline may be pushed up significantly

Possible this can carry over to next season; we should be able to re-sign him to a small deal again no problem if he doesn’t actually contribute a ton. Just consider him our own injured draft pick that we’re waiting on to heal and it’ll sting less.

We need talent on the team so idgaf as long as he’s cheap and in the pipeline

I can logically understand this. I would also hope that this doesn’t at all influence who we draft because Chase technically may not be a solution at all. I think we’ll draft an OT but I really hope they invest in the dline in the draft as well.

I agree with you. I’m liking the idea of Sweat in the 2nd but we’ll see.

The o-line just has to be addressed since Penning didn’t show anything last season
