You have to fire DA to force Sean to come back or stay retired

Can still block him from going anywhere else by firing DA, who is awful anyway.

DA should have never been hired to begin with.

Should have gone outside of the circle and get a fresh start.

As many said things were getting stale under Payton, so how do we fix that? Keep his entire coaching staff and just promote the DC who has failed before as a Head Coach.

It would make sense to do this in most industries but the NFL doesn't really operate that way.

Retards like you need to go. He had this team 5-2 when Winston was healthy with no NFL receivers. What do you think he would be doing with this lineup?

You just had a player try to fake retire in order to get out of a contract and play for another team after buying a minority ownership stake

Why the hate? That's what's wrong with this state, you think you are magically entitled to everything. Sean Payton stayed there for 15 years and brought the first championship to this franchise that's still not good enough for you? Let him go wherever he wants to go, Saints will get some compensation but I guarantee it will never be enough for some of you entitled douchebags.

If anything I'm hoping the impending doom that is coming for the Saints soon will at least wash out some of you bandwagon 2009 fanboys. Literally the worst.

Bad take. He did last year until Jameis got taken out by a dirty play by White.

Jameis isn’t good now, but Payton had him actually improving. Without Payton, Jameis seems to be a lost cause.

Sean Payton is the same guy who held assistants to their contracts, blocking them from promotions on multiple occasions. He left the franchise under false pretenses and is already talking like he’s coming back next season. Even though he’s under contract to New Orleans.

And I’m telling you right now he’s going to low ball the compensation under the theory that the Saints don’t have an opening so it’s unfair to keep him from coaching. Why should the team allow that?

I'll take the multiple first round picks for Payton and reload with another coach instead.

He’s going to argue that’s too much compensation given the Saints don’t have a job to offer him.

The team is average QB play away from being good. I wouldn’t be ready to dump DA yet.

Well, players can do that and survive but owners can not.
