That's how mistakes are made. You take the best player available within reason. That's what the Saints did. That's smart drafting. I think they got the best CB and OT in the draft.

Yeah decent pick. I'm just mad knowing we would have taken Foster now

Why not trade up to get Foster?

The saints should start trading every draft pick above the 4th round. All we do is waste them on trash anyway why not actually use them for something.

I'm sure Drew appreciates drafting an olineman for two years down the road when he won't be here

Maybe you didn't think Seattle was going to trade WITHIN their division. That doesn't happen all that often. Seattle just helped make a division rival better

The picks were at positions of need as well. It was a great draft.

Because we need more than a MLB. We need our next 3 picks.

Our starting tackles have played every game the past few years?

When's the last time the Saints' O-Line all played 16 games as a unit?

They are gonna pick these defensive projects from small schools on Friday and Saturday.

Or they will pick injury plagued guys who have tons of upside.

Defense will give up 30 points a game

Rinse , wash , repeat

You can't draft every player to be a win now guy Those dudes don't really exist in high numbers. It's not like we drafted Stanley Jean-Baptiste

I agree. They were needs for sure. Just so frustrating to see for months people say we HAVE to take defense and we HAVE to take pass rusher. That's not what a smart team does in the first round.

These two guys could be starters for us the next decade.

I wanted the Saints to get Foster after he fell to 31; however, what was so scary about Foster that he fell that far? Did the Saints have him at the top of their board at that point or would they have passed on him also?

I am definitely a person that believes in early OL picks as they seem to be safer selections.

This is the most important thing. Missing on first round picks is devastating to team development.

The people bitching about these picks are the same idiots who were bitching about drafting Michael Thomas last year.

The dude after Drew would probably like to have a good o-line.
