It's not like Payton just stopped being a good coach, but his time with the Saints is coming to an end. Things have gotten stale. This happens in the NFL. Look at the Eagles and Andy Reid

I don't want Payton to leave, but I understand the fans' mentality. Maybe the dogs have stopped eating the dog food. What would I do right now? I would fire Dennis Allen, and hopefully send a message that garbage defense is not acceptable. It is every bit as bad as Rob Ryan's defense. What is killing this team is Fairley's absence, the 2 injured LT's, and Snead.

Allen needs to go asap it looks like. Maybe a couch coach can explain why he should be kept around. As to the offense the line played better but something just doesn't seem right with the play calling. No rhythm. They don't look polished any more. Only two games in but where is the light?

I think you are seeing a lack of rhythm due to the OL problems. Even in the Minn game, you saw Strief get injured and the rookie on the other side making his debut against a great DL. I have faith the new guys (Kamara, Ginn, etc.) will settle in and perform, but we are not there yet. With the horrible defensive play, it takes away our need to run the ball too. I still think the offense will be one of the best at year's end.

if the offense has been abysmal, what has the defense been?

Even worse. This team is just not good at football. Missing your starting tackles never bodes well for anyone, but the play-calling has been questionable at best.

1. Throw everything you can at Jim Harbaugh...
2. Trade Brees for elite defensive talent/ #1 draft picks
3. Sign Kaep
4 build dynasty

I don't think he's leaving Michigan on his own terms

We have no leverage here. He's unsigned next season. No team would be so dumb.
3. Sign Kaep
This only works with Harbaugh IMO. No go.
4 build dynasty
Bill Belichick is not walking through that door.
