Coverage sacks. We have an elite DE and two pass rushers in the middle so I'm not even sure what you are talking about

I tend to agree with you. I don't understand what they are doing. I have been watching football for a long time and one thing that never changes. You can cover up a weak or average pass defense if you can rush the QB and effect him. But you can have the best set of DB's ever and they won't be worth a shite if the QB has time.

Or they just think the back end value is much higher and realize it may take a few seasons to build defense. We arguably have 3/4 d line spots pretty set. If they build the secondary and these players show promise you can be extra aggressive and add that final pass rusher

At what point? Next year? The clock is ticking our QB is old. They should consider trading back in and grabbing Zach Cunningham.

Personally I'm happy they're not freaking the frick out like a the message board gms and just grabbing guys to grab them.
