Wow, it would be cool if local media could do this.

The local media is anti-intellectual.

If only New Orleans Media took their jobs seriously...Really nice piece loved some of the route tree breakdowns they showed. Now let me go to Times Picayune to complete some of their fan polls.

Nice find Patty.

If I had the time and the film access I would try to do this. My current work schedule and family responsibilities don't allow for it.

Anybody can get film access if you pay $15 for NFL Game Rewind online. Coaches film and all, it's pretty awesome

BSS does this kind of analysis for the Pellies all over the place. Football doesn't attracts stat geeks and analytics nerds like MLB and NBA do, unfortunately.

That's part of the reason why most of you guys get mad when I point out simple facts like "Sean Payton is one of the worst game managers in the NFL." It's factually true and there are now 2.5 seasons of evidence to back this up, yet I still get downvoted even when his dumbassery costs us chances to win games, because it's still not really "accepted" to think this about him.

7 years ago Byron Scott was still a highly respected NBA coach. Now everybody knows he's a joke. The NFL needs a similar analytical revolution lead by fans, etc. The problem is that the sample size of 16 games is too small for the movement to take hold.

Yeah, I know, but it would be a waste of money at this point.

Yeah Underhill does this in a way. He's the only decent beat writer for the team and the only one that has actually spent a considerable amount of time studying the X's and O's of the game.

Bobby could read the defense before the ball's even snapped. Quarterbacks don't lose that perspective
