Obviously, I'm taking about right now.

Boy this is tough. A guy who quits his team two weeks before the season and gives up football(his words) due to constant pain and injuries for a healthy top three QB of all time.

I see you once watched a Saints game at some point in your past.

Not now.

Not even in 2014.

No. Because, as you said, obviously you’re talking about right now.

Right now, Luck is retired.
Right now, the best to ever do it is our QB.

I’d take what we got.

I was looking for this thread a few days ago...I was going to bump it to shame myself.

I lost interest looking for it somewhere in the early 2016 range.

Would trade Brees and a 1st for Luck right now. Our shrimpy QB just got drug tested for making shell-like comments about his age. Mid-life crisis incoming.

I bookmarked this thread though. I'll bump it in 2016 & 2017 when Luck is a MVP candidate, and the Saints aren't able to pay to keep all the weapons around an aging Drew.

They have graham locked up for 4 years and cooks/still for 2-4+,and young prospects at WR. I think they'll be fine in that department.

You can bump it in 2-3 years feel free.

Oh lawd the hot takes

I wanted to bump this when I first heard of the retirement.

I was very firm in not wanting to trade for Luck.

We are so blessed to have Brees!

Colts would never do it and if I was the saints gm I would jump all over it and you wouldn't e able to slap the smile off my face. And I also love Bree's but can't do your job and be emotional about it

quote:

I hate to say this but Drew is in Decline. Every time he throws the ball over 40 yards he under throws the receiver which allows the CB to make up the ground and knock the ball away. Because of this fact the Defense can play 8 in the box and take away the short passes. However, we have his replacement on the practice squad Ryan Griffin. So next year I would trade him for a stud linebacker and shut down corner and 1 first round draft pick. If we wait any longer than that his worth will continue to decline. Sorry, because I do like Drew and think he has been great for the Saints but we can't live in the past....

So many goodies

This is the real question.

I can’t remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, much less threads from 5 years ago.

Some of you need to look at the dates on the post you may be replying to.
