Yeah let's not factor in hang time or net yards (which is the most important stat as long as you can boot them over 40 consistently).
Fair catches and limiting touch backs is super important and Morstead does a great job there.
How many times since he's been here have we given up a punt return for a td? How many of those were because the coverage was right there but let the guy free?
I can't recall a punt return td that was on Morstead.
But yeah clearly punting has nothing to do with points right?

Morestead is well liked in the locker room and by the fans. He might be the biggest star in the community that the Saints have ever had. Ask him to restructure, sure. Outright cut him, i doubt it.

He'll get an extension next year that will lower his cap hit.

i can grant he loves to act the star life and go after the attention. Definitely not a biggest star ever but yes fans do eat the whole he's so white and wholesome bit ala JASON smith and ryno ish

Morstead has not been what's caused our cap issues. Complain about the Junyahs and Browners and their dead money that's where the cap issues come from
