Drafted in 2013, he's turned into an elite LT the last few years
The issue? Health

2014: missed the last 2 games due to injury -- our OL fell apart and we let Brees get sacked 5 times v Atlanta (in a loss) and barely win v TB after Brees was pressured all day

2015: missed 2 games in the middle of the season, missed the last game of the season, went 2-1, but our OL looked shaky

-- was given a large 5/65mil (13mil/yr) extension which was considered underpaid, but with an injury history seems fair now.

2016: On track to miss 3 of the 5 games thus far. Peat stepped in v Atlanta and did well enough (gave up 1 major sack, but most of the pressure came from Lelito or Kelemete at LG).

So if Armstead can't stay healthy for all 16 games and Peat can step in fluidly at LT (which he has thus far minus 1 major sack v Freeney) was the move correct to make?

Peat was picked because because Armstead nor Strief could make it through a season healthy. It was a smart, but boring pick, and would be a slam dunk if he would have developed quicker.

That said, he'a coming into form and will be a solid starter for us for years to come.

Peat's the only thing in my life that matters.

Peat looks like he's best served playing LT, but we already have a top 4 LT on our team. Kind of a mess.
