You don't say.

i am hearing they are offering him a contract

Who are you and how are you hearing this?

contacting Nnamdi Asmougha

I would be fine with this. We need corners and if we could get him for one year on the very cheap, then let's do it.

He's big, he's physical, and he was great in Rob's system. Sign him at the vet minimum and see what he does. Low risk/high reward situation.

Exactly. He is definitely worth a look. The Niners also cut loose Perrish Cox because they were so loaded at CB. Nnamdi was not bad in Philly before that; he just failed to live up to his monster contract. If he just plays like he did last year, he can help the Saints now.

We also have Sweeting, but honestly I see us signing Nnamdi after the Atlanta game.

Greer is done for the year. We need secondary depth. I don't see why you don't give him or anyone else a look...gotta have bodies!

This would be a good pickup. I know White has been stepping up this year but Nnamdi knows Ryan's system and garnered his most accolades while playing for Rob. I know the notion is that he's washed up but If Rob can get what he has out of this D I'm sure he can squeeze out 9 games worth of serviceable to average play out of Nnamdi

I just heard from someone very close to the organization that they are in contact with dun dun duuuun Richie Incognito to replace White in our secondary. I've scouted his tapes seems like he has a legit shot to start opposite of Lewis.

Just saw this from WWL

quote:

WWL Saints Sideline Reporter, Kristian Graric has learned that the New Orleans Saints have signed a new defensive back. He says that according to a league source, the team has signed second year player Trevin Wade.

I suppose that means no Nnamdi? What's our roster spot situation?
