I suddenly feel very bad for Spags.

Not really most likely he will be our head coach for the amount of games payton gets suspended for and if he does a solid job at it some teams might give him another chance as a Head Coach

Fine the Saints $1 million, fine Payton $1 million, fine all players involved $250,000 - 500,000 and let's move on.

Oh, and ban Gregg Williams from ever coaching in the NFL again (more for letting the 49ers beat us than the bounty).

Add Loomis to the fines and I'd be okay with it. Definitely agree about your sentiments regarding Williams.

I just don't see the benefit of any suspensions. It will hurt the NFL product and many more affiliations that had nothing to do with the bountys (ticket sales, advertising sales, viewership, merchandise sales, money made in New Orleans by local businesses when the Saints are doing well).

By fining everyone involved, you are actually getting more than suspending them. Fining requires them to work without pay (at least, their full pay) instead of letting them stay at home. And, you can raise the amount to really hurt them.

Realistically, the Saints are only going to get another 4-6 years out of Brees. And after that, it is more likely that we'll drop back into mediocrity than stay successful. Is the NFL really willing to bury one of the best teams in the NFL knowing that it still has 5 years it can get something good out of that team?

If they didn't bury the Patriots for flat out cheating, I can't seem them burying the Saints.

I hope you are right. I'm just incredibly pissed at Loomis and Payton for being such dumbasses about this thing. Greg Williams lost me a long time ago so he doesn't count.

yeah. they should have admitted it as soon as the NFL approached and not lied about stopping. The problem is that, according to players, this is a rampant issue. If I'm the Saints, I'm going out and getting quotes from as many former and current players on as many teams as I can. And, if the NFL doesn't back off or threatens severe suspensions/penalties, I blow the lid on the entire NFL.

Put retard commish in a position that he will have to do severe damage to the NFL as a whole, or do nothing to the Saints.
