Saints offered 4.5 per, Ingrams representation said no way. Saints tried to contact them and work something out, they wouldn't respond. RB coach (Thomas) messaged Ingram and said just tell them what you want. Ingram never responded, at that point they moved on.

Sean claims that he tried contacting Ingram to no avail

Ingram thought he could get more, but he didn’t. He thought he was worth more than $4.5 million, but he wasn’t. He moved on and so did we. Have fun carrying the football against defenses stacked to stop the run Mark

This was a case of an agent doing what makes him a little more money while not caring what makes his client happier.

I kinda hope that at the tail end of his career he can come back and run a few more yards to get the all time rushing record and retire in the black and gold.

Why? Deuce is a mainstay in New Orleans. I could see if he remained with the team and passed the torch so to speak.

....and he lost all of his leverage with the Ravens once we signed Murray.

Time to find you a new agent cause this one screwed you.

ETA..... He will probably get 1000 yards next year but they damn sure ain't gonna be highway miles.

I was upset that he was so close at first, but not if all of this is true. frick that. Let AK get all the records.

That lines up pretty much exactly with what Sean Payton said about it.

2 months ago Ingram fired his long time veteran agent. Hired a friend of his Dad who had no agent experience. That was the problem.

Ingram gave the Saints the leverage they needed when he missed the first four games last year.

Because he didn't want to play 2nd fiddle to AK and go to a team that he would touch the ball 20+ times.

In both playoff games he touched the ball 11 times. I don't think he saw the field in either 4th quarter. He only went into the game to spell AK.
