After how many weeks does it switch from uncharacteristic to the norm?
Id give it a season + some. He's been Mr. Reliable since 2006. Can't give up on him that quickly, but his age does appear to be catching up.

Why do people keep saying this? The numbers tell a different story.
He has the 7th worst hands in the league since 2008. And those stats are pulled until 2011. Its only gotten worst since then.
Interestingly, we dumped the the most reliable receiver the Saints have had under Payton and we're supposed to be a passing offense?

Here's the problem, who else makes tough catches on this team?? He's the only guy I trust going over the middle. His speed and hands have diminished some but he still has a lot of value and moreso on our team than anywhere else. As long as both his moneybags agent and himself realize he's best used and needed here but needs to get paid like he would on the open market then he should be able to take a cut or get cut at a reasonable price. Hell, have him the market and as long as its a non outrageous price tell him they match any offer and get him to retire as a saint. The demand for a over 30 WR coming off a year of the drops shouldn't be bad

He fails to get open far more often than he did in the past. He's an average starter in the league at best now and when he starts dropping the ball he's one of the worst. Drew can't get the ball off quickly if his receivers can't get open and Colston consistently does not get open
