Why does everyone hate on Lofton?

Everyone is always complaining about him on 870 or on here. He's always the leading tackler every year. Is it because of playing time? I think he is solid... Am I missing something?

0-2, bro. Fingers need to be pointed. It's the only way you can feel good about yourself.

I've never understood the hate either.

Lofton has been having to play 2 LB positions, he's far from the issue.
Strong run stopper and decent coverage LB.
Issue is his cost, 5.5mil/yr, and cap hit the following years:
2015: 9mil
2016: 7.5mil
2017: 7mil

He has yet to make a difference in a game.

His name was on a falcons jersey at one time.

So was Moren Andersen's. You're better at the game wheel of fortune.

yea he was billed as an elite run stopping thumper, and hes not quite that.
hes more of a sure tackler who rarely lays licks. hes very good against the run.
but i feel hes sub par in coverage. and he is often the guy victimized on third down, that sucks to see.
anybody know how is that true thumper spikes doing in buffalo?

He's a solid run stuffer it's just now a days a great or even good defense requires a MLB that can do it all most importantly run from sideline to sideline. Some one like Keuchley, Willis, Bowman, Alonso, Wagner. I was iffy on Ryan Shazier, but it's looking like he would have been a solid pick.

TRUE
I love to hear that about a linebacker and in 09 nobody did that like Vilma. Dude was really the fastest mlb in the league. And honestly I think he hit harder than lofton.
Vilma MUCH superior to Lofton

In case you haven't noticed, everybody hates everybody when we are 0-2
