Was not following closely then. Was that his decision or the Saints?

HE DIDN’T WANT TO COACH THE SAINTS THAT SUDDENLY HAD A GRIM FUTURE. Got his fricking hand caught in the cookie jar and packed his pussy bag.

Peyton had some neck injuries but ended up retiring. Really good SNL host.

He wants to go to a team where the script calls for this to happen to his opponent during the playoffs:

A owner that doesn’t really care, but the GM would lick his balls. Who knows?

All he had to do was play the ball and easy interception
How the refs didn't call that is still beyond comprehension and it still makes me want to go beat the hell out of Goodell

I wish I could find an accurate list but Payton was with the Saints for 16 years. That’s gotta be in the top 15-20 longest tenured ever for a HC for a single team ever in NFL history

He got burnt out and saw the rebuild coming, simple as that. Some of our fickle fans fault him for it and ignore all the greatness he brought us including immediately after Katrina and for longer than the vast majority of coaches in the modern era. He owed us absolutely nothing. Burnout happens and a break to reset helps, it goes on all the time in other sectors.
