0-3 is a bummer but I'm looking forward to having some fellow Saints out here. What's everyone's plan for before the game?

I bought tickets near the field and intend to convince SP to give me a tryout. I mean, it couldnt be any worse.

Honestly, I want to tailgate but none of my cohorts out here are Saints fans....i may hit up some of my Chargers fan buddies and let my Charger hating wife berate them

I have 4 going. There is a San Diego Saints fan club that has an event on 10/1/16 & a few different tailgates before the game on 10/2/16. I have the info below if anyone is interested. Sorry I cannot post links from work computer so I copied & pasted this from the fan club website.

Kristy's MVP

Game Day Tailgating Party Sunday, October 2, 2016
Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA

Dear Jeff,

Pre Game Party
Helping our Veterans and Flood Recovery

The recent flooding in Louisiana has damaged countless homes and lives. Many of those affected have no flood insurance as they were not living in a flood zone. NOLAH is currently working in Baton Rouge to bring recovery aid to the residents.
NOLAH's latest project in San Diego is also underway - ADA modifications to the home of a disabled veteran. Our veterans have gone above and beyond and given enough. It's time to give back to them.

NOLAH will be hosting a fundraising day at Kristy's on Saturday, October 1, 2016. The day begins at 4pm with a Cajun Buffett provided by the ever-popular Bob and The Kitchenettes, $10 for all-you-can-eat. You'll also be able to view the LSU vs. Missouri broadcast with your dinner.

We'll relive the Saints' Championship Season about 30 minutes after the LSU game ends in honor of the next day's game-Saints vs. Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium. Kristy's MVP is located at 3225 Midway Drive, San Diego, 92110 (619-222-0388 or www.kristysmvp.com). Additional parking is available across the street. This might be a great time to use a reliable ridesharing service!

In addition to the Cajun Buffet, Kristy's will be featuring drink specials at the bar all night long.

And take a chance on winning our raffle-all funds will go to NOLAH's recovery projects.

Geaux Tigers! Who Dat! It doesn't get any better than this!

Donations for NOLAH's home rebuilding and Veterans projects can also be made online at www.NOLAH.net

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

There are never too many hands in the kitchen. NOLAH is in need of volunteers to help with the Saturday night party. Kitchen , prep and clean up are big needs. Also, help is needed for raffle ticket and bead sales and for the service line. If you are available and would like to help the cause, please reply to dvaz@nolah.net and we'll get you involved.

From the fan club weekly newsletter:
The Chargers are very particular about reserving parking spaces for official tailgate parties. The fee to park in the stadium is a minimum $25 per vehicle. To reserve a spot in one of two "designated tailgating" areas, it's another $35 per space plus an admin fee of $40. For the size of the group we were planning, the cost quickly rose to over $1,000 BEFORE the cost of food and drink.

Unofficial tailgating is allowed in the stadium, but without reserving spots, there is no guarantee that we can all park next to each other, nor can we take up too much room beyond the parking spots. The lot opens as early as 9:30 AM on game day. A few of our most loyal fans will be getting down there early to set up two separate outposts. Your best bet is to arrive as early as possible to get a decent spot. The attached parking map should be most helpful. In Section C2/C3 look for a white, two-door mini Countryman with red decals set up under a large "Krewe of Tucks" banner.

The other group will be migrating to parking Section J5. Parking Section J5, if you are familiar with it, is the parking area where our local LSU Alumni hosts parking for their annual Crawfish Boil. Each of these groups will be posting on our San Diego Saints Fans Facebook page with their actual locations. Since these won't be "official" gatherings, we will be limited to whatever you bring in the way of food and drink to consume or share with others. Just think of it as packing the car for the day on St. Charles Avenue to watch a full day of Mardi Gras parades. Friends stop by your spot to see you, you stop by their spot to see them and you share food drink and war stories all along the route as you see old friends and make new ones. If everyone posts their location to the Facebook page, we will certainly find each other and be able to pass a good time together. For those who paid in advance for food and etc., you will be getting a separate note shortly about refunds. We appreciate your patience with us and your faith in our team.
GO! Saints GO!

Any chance either one of the large tailgating events will have crawfish? Ive missed the LSU boil for about five years and am in desperate need to consume some mudbugs.
