It's not meaningless, but at the same time you can't read too much into it.

But really my response was to your opinion that Ivory has just as good of field vision as PT. That's absurd. PT is on of the best screen backs in the game. The screen game is not about hands, it's about patience and field vision. Ivory doesn't had his field vision.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I think you're wrong on this.

I'm not letting the hof game change my mind about our rbs. Ivory is still our most explosive back (besides sproles obviously) and pt is still our best all around back and I believe Ingram will show that he is a beast as well. Everyone saying ivory is even close to gone is out of their mind IMO

It was only one preseason game. I still keep Ivory over Cadet. Now if this is a recurring theme through all of preseason, especially the 3rd and 4th games, I might lean to changing my mind and flipping them. Ivory has NFL experience and is a bowling ball we need.

I never said that. Someone else did. Pierre is the best back on the team imo.

I've said that for years and always thought he was better than Bush despite the hype and the Bushtards.

Pierre is awesome. He's our most complete and important back. Even more so than Sproles imo, although it's close.

Ingram is maybe fourth right now as far as I'm concerned, but I was impressed with his cut back against Arizona.

Oh shite my bad.

I do think Ingram has more to offer than Ivory, and I think he'll surpass him in all phases by this years end.

I think Cadet will be the odd man out bc we already have RBs that can catch but you can never have enough bruisers at RB

Cadet to PS but will probably get picked up by someone else which he deserves

Maybe. I don't know. Ivory is more explosive but his style is not sustainable for long.

Remember everyone hyping Marion Barber? That didn't last long. Guys just can't play that way for too many years.

Pierre, Sproles, and Ingram are locks, so looking at the 4th guy to keep:

Ivory has been solid when healthy, especially over the 2010 season (over 700 yards rushing). Cadet was awful on his carries, but loved what he did catching the ball. He made big plays from the backfield, I really liked what I saw. As mentioned, I'd like to see Ivory get some plays in with the 1st team along with Cadet. Ivory , unless injured, is who my money is on.. and by a long shot. The thing is, this'll spark a competition going forth. It's already heated at the WR spot, we are looking at the RB spot to carry some heat in the pre-season as well. Maybe Cadet could be used as a trade if he keeps up a high performance, maybe he ends up on the PS. We will see, should be fun.

Chris Ivory does have good field vision and he has the speed when he gets to the second level, just look at the games,he has low pad level and if he would be thrown the screen pass he can make it happen just like PT his most famous play as a saint was a screen pass the San Diego game thats where we all discovered how good he was....His best attribute is he will run over someone and doesn't shy away from contact....

I never said he didn't, it's just not at PT's level.

,he has low pad level

When he lowers his shoulder when he's running into someone, but his pad level is one of the main critiques of Ivory. He's a natural upright runner.

I love that as well, but his body is not a fan.

I'm not trying to argue but he does not get the credit he deserves and he is as quiet of a player that can be for what he does, never complains just makes it happen on the field...I forgot when given a chance..

He does get credit, but he's just not that reliable. Even when he's relatively healthy, he hasn't been much in terms of blitz pick up or the passing game.

I'm not saying he's not talented, but he does have some major flaws and he's far from being a complete player.

Yeah, injuries are a game changer and would make the decision much easier...I mean ...very easy.

Easy decision. There's no debate here. Unless one of the four above gets injured, they would bring in a veteran who was released. Cadet to practice squad if he clears waivers. He and Banyard are rookies and doesn't have enough experience to make the roster straight up and be active each week. They need to be developed.
