There has been a lot of discussion of how good or how bad of a QB Carr is. So where do you rank him as a QB? Below is every QB who started a game in 2022 (with games started) besides Brady who is retiring.

What is your rank for Carr? Not just last year, but who do you want taking over for your team next year.

Top 10
Patrick Mahomes (16)
Joe Burrow (15)
Aaron Rodgers (16)
Josh Allen (15)
Jalen Hurts (14)
Justin Herbert (16)
Lamar Jackson (12)
Deshaun Watson (5)
Matthew Stafford (9)
Kirk Cousins (16)

11-15
Russell Wilson (14)
Jimmy Garoppolo (10)
Trevor Lawrence (16)
Derek Carr (15)
Dak Prescott (11)

16-20
Tua Tagovailoa (13)
Ryan Tannehill (12)
Daniel Jones (16)
Jared Goff (16)
Geno Smith (16)

Next 21-30
Davis Mills (14)
Andy Dalton (13)
Mac Jones (13)
Brock Purdy (4)
Jameis Winston (3)
Baker Mayfield (3)
Justin Fields (15)
Kyler Murray (11)
Taylor Heinicke (9)
Kenny Pickett (11)

31-40
Jacoby Brissett (11)
Cooper Rush (5)
Sam Ehlinger (2)
Bailey Zappe (2)
Matt Ryan (12)
Carson Wentz (7)
Teddy Bridgewater (2)
Marcus Mariota (13)
Mitchell Trubisky (5)
Malik Willis (3)

Remainder
Trevor Siemian (1)
Brett Rypien (2)
Colt McCoy (3)
Trace McSorley (1)
David Blough (1)
Nick Foles (2)
Skylar Thompson (1)
Gardner Minshew (2)
Desmond Ridder (3)
Trey Lance (2)
Zach Wilson (9)
Mike White (4)
Joe Flacco (3)
Sam Darnold (5)
P.J. Walker (5)
Jarrett Stidham (1)
John Wolford (3)
Bryce Perkins (1)
Tyler Huntley (4)
Kyle Allen (2)
Jeff Driskel (2)
Joshua Dobbs (1)

This is my order that I put together quickly. But generally, I think it’s pretty close to the order I’d finish with.

I'd take him over everyone in bold and would consider taking him over Dak as well if Dak got hurt again.

I like your list except I'd take him over Dak.

I would also take him over Rodgers simply because of what it would cost to get Rodgers, and how long does he realistically have at this level?

Stafford would be a push and would go for whoever costs less between the 2.

Absolutely better than Carr:

Patrick Mahomes (16)
Joe Burrow (15)
Aaron Rodgers (16)
Josh Allen (15)
Jalen Hurts (14)
Justin Herbert (16)

Could be better but more equal to Carr:
Lamar Jackson (12)
Deshaun Watson (5)
Kirk Cousins (16)
Russell Wilson (14)
Jimmy Garoppolo (10)
Trevor Lawrence (16)
Tua Tagovailoa (13)

He is not better than Jared Goff, Geno Smith or Dak Prescott.

He is equal to Tua, Tannehill, and Jones.

So he is 17 for me.

Speaking of Goff, people really need to put some respect on him. Dude threw 29 TD last season without their 1st round pick Jameson Williams for pretty much the whole year and then they traded Hockenson to the Vikings pretty early in the year too. He doesn’t turn the ball over much either.

He’s a top 20 qb but not a top 19 qb

Dak is 2-3 years younger and has had 1 semi bad year out of 7 and it came in the midst of a thumb injury in his throwing hand. Go Check his stats since his Jr year in college. He is an extremely low turnover QB. This past year was an aberration.

If the money is equal, which it isn’t obviously.

Dak is the far better QB than Carr. I’d probably also rather pay Dak $40 mil a year than Carr $25M. That’s how wide the gap is in my eyes.

You pretty much have to think he’s top 8 for the money to make sense.

It’s a bad idea to sign Carr. Realistically, he’s 15ish and he has Russell Wilson disaster potential.

It’s scary if people think Carr is better than Watson, Lamar and Dak. Yikes

I love how this has received 11 downvotes. Goff was 6th in the league in TD passes, 6th in the league in yards, 7th in passer rating, 5th in 1st downs, 6th in yards per attempt, 7th in quarterback rating, and only threw 7 picks last year, including none in the final 9 games.

Further proof that most here wouldn't know really, really good QB play if it slapped them in the face. Probably the Carr fanboys.

Lol. If Carr was even close to the qb Watson is, teams woukd have been blowing up the phone to gladly give up multiple first rounders and take in his 3 year 120 million dollar deal.

And we all saw how that turned out. Cousins is also better but prob not by much. Lawrence will be in the top 10 if he’s not already.

Watson was arse last year, I expected some initial struggles but not 6 games of pretty consistent bad play.

will be interesting to see if he returns to form as a top 10 QB

But yes, I’d rather have those 3 than Carr, and it’s not particularly close
