Any chance they eat salary and trade him for a 4th just to get rid of him?

Looks like he is going to the Panthers or Seahawks, probably for a third and fourth

I think both would be wise to take him at that. If it doesn't work out, go QB in draft next season. Maybe a change or scenery revives his career. Hopefully he goes to Seattle.

They are hoping for a draft night opportunity to offload him.

I’d wager Seattle will try to draft a QB but will go with Baker if they miss on their guy.

In all seriousness the Saints should trade a 3rd/4th for him. No one is giving the Browns more than that.

Statistically they are very close and it would give the Saints a real backup.

If it's Carolina, he'd better get paid, because there won't be any winning around that organization for a couple of years AT LEAST.

I've heard some rumors that the Panthers might try and go "all in" and trade for both Deebo and Baker.

If Baker is your all in move, you are doing it wrong

Hence the quotation marks

(I actually like Baker and think he could be a good QB though)

Speculation has been brewing that the owners are pissed about the contract Clev gave Watson (specifically the guarantees) and are going to stick it to them by not trading for Baker. Force them to cut Baker and get nothing in return, or hold on to him and have locker room issues.

They're probably hoping that a team will be dumb enough to trade a 1st rd pick for him

They really should be refusing to work with the Jaguars after Christian Kirk's contract broke the NFL receiver market.

Hey sport gotta disagree. Dalton is better prepared to come off the bench in a pinch than BM.
Ask me who will still be playing 5 years from now? BM.

Mayfield has less-than-ideal physical gifts for an NFL QB, but he makes up for it by being a head case. Most of the Browns' offensive success since he's been there has been in spite of rather than because of his play. IMO

Mayfield has consistently had top offensive talent, including the best one-two punch at RB in the NFL, plus a stout defense and he has done jack shite with it.

If you bring in Bakes (which I don't oppose), he's your starter. His value is based on the hope/projection that he returns to 2020 form and that his 2021 season was just a series of unfortunate events that stemmed from the injury.

I'd prefer Baker over Winston

He may do well with Pete Carroll

He is owed over $18 million. I think that they would have to give him close to $14 million to bring that number down to where they someone would be interested.
