They could have lost the game yesterday as easily as they could have won some of the others. Where are we at and what could you see being the key catalysts for progress?

First that come to mind for me...

Protecting Brees, Turner played decently, solidifying the guard spot would be huge. Armstead back 100% also

Payton sticking with the run more. I was impressed with his commitment yesterday. It is vitally important to keep then honest even when the run game isn't piling up tons of yards.

Even more aggression on defense, The line has been not blitzing to give more help to the guys on the back end. The second half clearly showed helping with the pass rush helps the back end more than guys in coverage IMO.

Fleener simply needs to produce at a better rate. Too many drops and still not looking like he's synced well. He was called soft in Indy and I cannot say he has dispelled that yet.

Kruger flashed a little. He's still picking up the system. The more comfortable he gets the more impact he could have.

Rumor that Breaux could be back more earlier than later. We might have some UDFA gems but it is an extreme stress to expect them to carry the full load as starters- but there's no choice. Sterling Moore has been surisingly effective to me.

Vonn Bell- plenty of growing pains shown yesterday but he excites me for upside. I think we're all ready to write off The Great Buffalo Free Agent Busts of Spiller and Byrd

Rankins- I'm anxious to see his impact. We're seeing Fairley get better. Paired might be a special interior pass rush.

Many of us were skeptical about signing Laurinaitis. Robertson looks like he could be a solid if unspectacular player. I think he can have an increased role here like for Fujita when he arrived. I don't care who but keep the best performer out there.

Stephone Anthony- please give him a fair shot before dismissing him. Find a role even if he's not ready for playcalling at the mike.

Will Lutz- Somehow after 10 years stability at the kicker spot? Didja notice Dustin Hopkins is leading the NFL in scoring as was the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month? shite, ya gotta win some of those 50/50 decisions (Hopkins or Forbath)

That's my prescriptions. Whaddya see?

Ellerbe, Robertson, Stupar are our best trio of backers.

I want to see edebali on field more.

IF Ellerbee fo sho! I like his play a lot. If he could just stay healthy I think he could be a story similar to Thomas Davis on the Panthers.

Cooks, Thomas, and Snead need to do a better job of fighting to get open early if the line continues to allow this much pressure.

We said it before the season, this OL will decide how well we perform on offense and thus far they have performed horribly on the road which led to rather stagnant offenses.

Scheme wise we still gotta be about the worst covering RBs and TEs. It's almost like, yeah, we'll give you 6-8 yds without trying. It's tough cover but you can't just let it bleed infinitely
