Just starting to survey. IMO ideal is the highest impact front seven D player available. Everyone on board wit dat?

Early Look List
DT
Nkemdiche
A Robinson

DE
Bossa- likely gone at 12
Ogbah
Shaq Lawson
Buckner
Bullard

LB
Shilique Calhoun
Myles Jack
Jaylon Smith

Early look pick... Ogbah as a 4-3 DE

Yep.

A. Robinson would be my go to. Unless our highest rated pass rusher is still there.

I wouldn't be mad if we pick Myles Jack. RN would be a steal if he could lay off the pot and dumb decisions.

Treadwell( we know how I feel about 10)

I would honestly like a faster Colston type. Let me break this down also since ST has terrible interpretation and I'm sure some idiot thinks I mean draft a slow 6'4 dude. We need a big bodied player or a player that plays big for Brees to throw to and Treadwell is that with some in game speed. He can be a guy you can rely on and just chuck and to for some extra fluke stats where he basically makes everything happen. That's what I thought we'd get with our last drafted WR.

Nkemdiche ( need some blue chip athletes)

Myles Jack ( same as above, perfect PNC to Anthony with great speed between the two. Jacks Coverage will in turn help ease Anthonys responsibly in zone. )

These are tough men

I have a feeling Nkemdiche will be one of those guys who gets to the league with no serious trouble and winds up being an All-Pro. Of course we'll pass on him we need a good character quior boy

More defensive speed, some guys who will take out the O-linemans legs on a sweep or go head up if he's first up with a teammates in pursuit. Get that guy down in the draft those effort plays like that win games.

quote:

Rashard Robinson. Let's just get out in front of everyone and STEAL him.

He went to LSU don't be silly they won't draft him, maybe there's some pac 10 CB we can pick

Before we choose a draft pick...

We need to confirm a defensive coordinator

Determine a scheme

Identify needs

However one thing is clear...
Our biggest need is PASS RUSH

Just say NO to Nkemdiche - would honestly rather Treadwell than him.

Not a good football player and do not want.

We need a DT, DE, OLB, OG and WR. There's a lot of possible picks we should be happy with, including Treadwell or Tunsil. I'd be happy with Jack or Billings if he comes out. Robinson would be a nice pick too.

With all his recent craziness he's probably off the Saints board anyway.
