I don't think anyone cares; however, it was a great PR move on his part regardless. Mary wishes she thought of it first I bet...

You know she does. She's got to be kicking herself.

But seriously, it's about time that someone came out and challenged the NFL. They have become too much of a monopoly. This could become a huge black eye for the NFL if Goodell chooses to go forward with his claim, bc they have no valid argument.

And what about 'Who Dey' up in Cinci?

tbh, the wording in that letter doesn't sound like it's a political stunt. The language is a little harsh for political stunt legalese. Usually stunts like this are stunk up on TV and radio....which I'm sure will find its way shortly.

And if it is a stunt, shame on these politicians for having a pulse on its constituents.

I guess so. But it's not like a US Senator is going to personally mount a legal attack against the NFL. So I'm guessing he'll be a cheerleader for this cause for a few days and then this whole story will fade away.

Vitter is a piece of shite.

I would urge you to drop this obnoxious and legally unsustainable position and instead agree that "Who Dat" is in the public domain, giving no one exclusive trademark rights.
i agree with this though

wow--funny how the nfl never said anything until we were successful and were about to sell a lot of shirts--basically they said hey some people in new orleans are going to make a lil more money by selling these shirts. instead of letting them have it because they deserve it, lets see if we can steal some money from them to add to our billions. any ideas? but they wouldnt have the balls to actually say this and admit they are scum. they know it inside and hide behind legal lingo

the nfl should be ashamed of themselves. A area is getting back on its feet and they want to kick it back down

How is this a risk for him? It's a PR stunt based on a hot bed topic for the people. I mean the NFL doesn't vote for his arse the people of LA do. So, he makes an idle threat to the NFL and people just like in this thread jump on his nuts for sticking it to the big bad NFL.

Not knocking the guy it's a hell of smart move because there is no way for him to lose here...it's not like he's actually going to make shirts. If he does make and sell the shirts then i might take a different stance. But right now it's just PR to get his name in the news.

Damn batteries are dead and the piece of shite has been busted for years!

But the quote helped make my point with all of the people in this thread on Vitter's nuts for being so brave!

p.s. I'll try and have my smartass meter checked...but the dumbass meter has been sucking all the life out of the batteries over on the rant
