Vilma already has the Miami bounty situation working against his reputation, as well as more direct invovlement in the program. I still think the suspension is going to be at least 8 games. But the NFLPA is probably the only thing that will keep the suspension remotely reasonable. I am predicting 6-10 games personally, hopefully it's less, but I'm just trying to remain realistic in what I've seen from Adolf Goodell lately.

No, Goodell is concerned for player safety, so they will have 18 preseason games and 2 regular season games.

That's BS. 2-8 games for a player who was paying his teammates to injure other players and who himself has been involved with bounties for injury since his days in college?

Vilma should get a lifetime ban. He's a thug and has no place representing New Orleans.

It does say they are guessing like the rest of us. They need to get this over with so everyone can move on and make preparations. It would suck if they come down on his birthday.

Currently a vagabond who can no longer support his hometown team, the Saints, because the owner won't clean house of the most corrupt administration and coaching staff in NFL history.

He's a TBD fan. Looking for a team with absolutely no record of ever breaking the rules and with a roster whose players have never done anything wrong in their lives.

Tough search. Let me know what you find.

Go be a fan of a new team for the 2 months you'll allow yourself to before they fail to meet your impossibly high standards.

Edit: that sentence was wordy as shite.

Didn't a lot of them get transplanted there after the hurricane? Dallas is just as bad.

Actually a valid point. Though technically i guess they are still thugs representing NOLA. I remember all the complaints from their police department and citizens after Katrina about the crime rate rising cause of out citizens and even pics of citizens patrols with guns keeping their neighborhoods safe. The "gangland" episode on NOLA will tell you about all you need to know about the thugs in our city.

Then your purpose here is truely trolling and you should leave or be banned from this site.
Congrats!
Your the 1st person I've ever requested to be banned and I hope the last.
You bring nothing.
You agitate for the sake of agitation.

I am hoping to find like-minded Saints fans, or those who are not so brainwashed in their blind following of the Saints, at the cost of honor and justice, to create an swelling of support for a new coaching staff. We need to clean house if we, as a city and an organization, want to be known to care about sportsmanship and playing with dignity and honor. Sure, it's not a popular opinion here because most here treat the Saints as their god who can do no wrong. Their clergy, like Payton and others, are likewise unblemished by the stain of sin. Or, if they are, no more so than others.

I'm disappointed in the response from the majority of Saints fans regarding this scandal. Do the people really care about wins and losses more than integrity and virtue?

Actually yes, many do. That shouldnt be surprising.

Many of us however believe once someone serves time for their crime they should be given a second chance. Justice can be about second chances, not just the death penalty.

This isnt religion. This is entertainment. This isnt a moral question for the fabric of humanity its football. You are never going to get enough people organized to demand they fire everyone in the organization. That is straight up crazy.
