So very false. People who say this are immediately discredited IMO.
We've handed out very rich contracts after Drew. Look at just this past offseason at Fleener.
Not to mention teams truly build talent and depth through the draft with Drew has zero affect on. Our organization treats the draft as a crapshoot on a yearly basis.

True. It is impossible to make quality draft picks and free agent acquisitions when Drew is getting paid.

It's been a shite show the last few years. How can you continually miss on players? Which leads me to believe it's the coaching not the players. See New England as an example. New players on D line,no receivers to speak of, New QB every week...still winning!

It's not a knock on Brees, asswipe. It's a "rebuilding from here" discussion.
We have missed on picks and lost others for various reasons. If we try to rebuild a total team to be more than competitive, how can it be done anytime soon while keeping our highest paid positions.
Brees is the best ever, we know that, this thread is NOT to shite on him.

His contract isn't the problem. If anything, him playing well the past few years is keeping us from hitting rock bottom and is dragging out the rebuild
