Heart of a Bagder Football Camp

Free camp for kids. I think this is awesome. Keep giving back guys and let's get our kids off the streets

Nice.
Great thing for him to do.

Pretty much what I'd expect from an LSU alum, honestly.

Where there is your problem.

You obviously thought wrong. He has embraced the nick name while still preferring to be referred to as Tyrann. Any ways, it's a symbolic name for his free youth camp.. Nothing wrong with that. Very positive of him to do this. I was probably the strongest person defending Tyrann after he left LSU.. so I am especially glad to see he continues to strive to be better.

Hope he continues to provide hope for New Orleans' (as well America in general) youth with a positive influence.

It's a human connection.

He shouldn't come back to New Orleans. Too many bad influences.

Terrible thinking. He got a lot of heat from folks in the city for just talking. Glad to hear that he is trying to Jumpstart a positive movement that these kids desperately need. I hope other local guys are able to do similar things and really get this ball rolling.

Let's hope the camp does not include this activity.

I agree with you 100%. He needed to leave behind his drug using and drug dealing friends at LSU. I barely survived growing up in NOLA. I was held up at gun and knife point. My relative was killed so a gang member could pass an initiation. He should not go back, but setting up a foundation from afar would serve him better. The problem in NOLA is systematic and can't be fixed with a camp. Good luck to him.

The person who said this is sadly mistaken:

This has nothing to do with the saints. Tyrann mathieu does not play for the saints nor will he ever.
