how about when AB juked Brian Urlacher up there in Illinois?

the Saints played the Bears at Illinois's stadium that year because they were renovating Soldier Field.

Urlacher went diving into thin air and Brooks went into the endzone

Started that season 6-1, missed the playoffs losing our last 3 to the 3 worst teams in the league that year

Vikings
Bengals
Panthers

Refused to put in Jake for a hurt Brooks in the Panthers game. we lost like 16-9.

No coach could've done a better job with that situation, and I commend him for not quitting. He knew he was gone,

I agree with this!!!!

Even though most Saints fans despise him and believe him to be an awful NFL coach, he is widely respected in the leauge and he has gotten looks for other HC jobs.
His coaching lineage isnt bad either coaches like Mike McCarthy, Ron Zook, and Mike Riley.

No tribute to Haslett would be complete without pointing out the memories he left behind.

I don't despise him, or even think he's an "awful" coach. But I don't like him for continuing to chain himself to shitty Brooks. It's the same with Less Miles. Jordan Jefferson is garbage and would always act like he was doing a great job. Aaron Brooks would smile pretty for all of us after mistakes. shite, he would even laugh many times. It just felt like him and Haslett were sticking a knife in your belly. Why he never played Jake over Brooks we'll never know.

But I agree, they did get the Saints closer to where they are now.
