makes it confusing. and then he didn't list 5 for each year so...

I don't understand the purpose of this thread. You don't list the top 5 draft picks and the list compiled is incomplete.
I only listed the players that were in contention. So no reason to list for example, Antonio Pittman.

agree, good thread idea, shitty presentation, no parameters or criteria
An accumulation of production, accomplisment, influence on team, what they meant to the franchise, etc. Because sometimes numbers don't tell the full story.
I have Reggie at #1 because I feel that if we didn't draft him, 2006 doesn't happen and we don't win the Super Bowl. Him (and Brees) helped revitalize our franchise.

1. Jahri Evans - I give him the edge because he'll be in the Hall of Fame one day I feel.
2. Marques Colston - No explanation needed.
3. Zach Strief - His level of play and consistency is unreal.
4. Jimmy Graham - He'd be on his way to the hall of fame if never traded.
5. Cameron Jordan - We've had crap on defense for years but Jordan has always been there contributing.

Man, they worked that 2006 draft.
1. Reggie Bush, rb (2) Southern California
2a. (#34), choice traded to Cleveland for C Jeff Faine and the Browns’ second-round pick (#43)
2b. Roman Harper, s (43) Alabama
3. (#66) (choice traded to Houston in 4/23/05 trade
with Texans to move up from 18th to 13th overall
and select T Jammal Brown)
4a. (#99) (choice traded to Philadelphia for Eagles’fourth-round pick (#108) and DT Hollis Thomas)
4b. Jahri Evans, g (108) Bloomsburg
5. Rob Ninkovich, de (135) Purdue
6a. Mike Hass, wr (171) Oregon State
6b. Josh Lay, cb (174) Pittsburgh(choice acquired from Green Bay in 2005 trade for CB Mike McKenzie)
7a. Zach Strief, t (210) Northwestern
7b. Marques Colston, wr (252) Hofstra
Got Bush, Harper, Evans, Ninkovich (we could have used him over the years) Streif and Colston. And picked up Faine and Hollis Thomas plus used one pick to move up for Jamal Brown the previous year.
