This whole Drew Brees stuff...

is really ticking me off.
Is it reasonable to think that the Saints have put forth a 'reasonable' offer...enough for him to personally step up to the negotiating table and work with ML to bring a deal home???
If he is the leader and backbone of this organization he holds half the bag in getting this deal done and not posture til the last second. I guarantee if it were me I would be in the middle of the shite and wouldn't let ML leave the table til we banged a deal out.
What reeeeeeaaaallllyyyy is pissing me off is that the NFLPA and TC are running this shite and telling DB to squeeze every last foocking $ out of the Saints. I mean really....1 or 2mm apart? Is his ego that big? Like he cant go sign a commercial deal with a foundation company to make up the difference? Shheeeeeeeett!

Nothing is going to be done until after the francise hearing. That hearing is going to determine who gets the upper hand in the negotiations.

Whoever makes that step to work with the other loses. This is just how negotiations of this type are handled. If you give in any before an external deadline forces you to, the other party is not going to meet you half way, they're going to wait for you to come all the way to them.
If nothing happens by July 22nd and the shite hits the fan then you can start playing the blame game. Until then getting mad at either side is a pointless waste of time and energy.

Tiger is right. If nothing HAS to get done in a high-level negotiation, nothing will. Both sides are going to sit back and see if the leverage equation changes. A deal will be made at the last minute based on whatever the leverage equation looks like on that day. End of story.
