This may have been discussed before. It needs to be discussed again if so.

When is this awful thing going to be taken down?

Sorry this is the most recent picture that I can find. It's unfortunately a lot more decorated these days.

I can see if we were a no accomplishment team like the falcons, but com'on now. We have real banners to hang up.

Whenever I bring fans from other teams to the dome for games, it never goes unnoticed as being the ridiculous recognition that it is. And I just have to sit there facepalming and shaking my head.

Honestly I hate it too. It is kind of embarrasing.

Could be worse. Could be claiming a division championship you didn't win like Ole Miss.

I cringe every time I look at it. Opposing fans probably laugh their arse off when they see it.

I wouldn't mind leaving a smaller half banner for the 2006 recognition just because of all the special meaning behind it, but I agree those need to come down now

Dude, I 100% agree. I always cringe when I randomly look up and see it during a commercial break or something. It's like if they made a bumper sticker that read "proud parent of a B student".

These are the analogies we need to tear these things down. Keep them coming, everyone.

It translates to "Most of our fans jumped on the bandwagon in 06"

Packers and Steeler fans laugh at this.

Recognition for season ticket holders is embarrassing? I don't see anything wrong with it.

It's interesting how if you watch an old NFL game from the 70s or 80s, they always make reference to sell outs and how many consecutive sell outs have occurred at that venue.
I guess the NFL used to look at it as a real barometer of their success. Now all you have to do is look at the billions of dollars in TV contracts to know where the NFL places their importance.

I guess for the Saints, it's was a big deal to score a season sell out as a way to say "we are back and can support this team!" However, I agree that now it's a little odd to see that banner hanging like our Super Bowl banner.

I cringed when they hung the first banner and I'll be glad when they're gone
