what good does 7-9 do us? Atlanta is only three wins away from having more wins than that right now. Carolina right behind them.

Our offense can't get us out of holes this horrendous defense will keep us in.
Our defense got 5 stops in the 1st half, and the offense only managed 7 points. I'm in no way saying our defense is in great shape, but it's hard to blame one for the other when they are both shitting the bed.

You have zero upvotes for a reason. Take a hint.

It keeps everyone's jobs, that's the good it does.

It does?

Regardless... for most of the people on this board, that would not be an optimal outcome.

Well for certain coaches on the Saints staff it does. Whether the fans like it not, tanking has no positive outcomes.

So if you tank you get a top 2 pick, you're not getting a franchise QB like Luck and you'll probably get a DE. Look how Clowney has looked so far.

Not to mention the turnover with the coaching staff and changes in personal. You're looking at being the doormat of the NFC for the next few seasons

No way in hell saints go 7-9. at this point that does more harm. With Carolina and Atlanta right now, 7-9 just keeps the same shite this year, the same shite next year.

So because Clowney is a bust, having the #2 pick has no value? That's dopey. You have a much better chance of finding a guy who can contribute to your team significantly at #2 than at #15, that's simply not arguable.

And what makes you think coaches aren't getting fired at 7-9? missing the playoffs two years in a row while wildly under-performing in both seasons is not a recipe for job retention. Staff turnover is coming no matter what at this point.

The Saints might finish 5-11 if they are lucky.

I could see the wheels falling completely off and Atlanta hanging 45+ on us. If Julio is able to play whole game , I see it getting ugly.

The Saints that year started 0-4 with a week 2 loss to the Bucs only to finish 7-9. So there you go, heard it here first. A repeat of 2007 season.

Wow. Sounds like you're satisfied with 7-9 piss poor record. They won't win 5 games.

Dear Lord, if the Saints only win 2 more games this year, please, please make it be against the Falcons. Amen.

For starters, there is nothing in this team that makes me believe they could go 7-7 for the rest of the season.

Second of all, if we aren't making the playoffs then I want a high draft pick to finally get a playmaker on either side of the ball.

This team has so many holes, no way we win 7 games and actually, we could freefall. That Philly game was a complete beatdown and Atlanta could be worse tomorrow...just facing reality.

So you're telling me the Saints can't go 5-5 the rest of the way especially 5 games at home remaining?
