Let's go back all the way to 2007 the year the Giants defeated the 16-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl

The Giants started their season 0-2 only to face the Redskins in Week 3 which began their Super Bowl run. (Play the Skins Week 3 on Thursday)

That same season the Patriots looked dominate and couldn't be stop. (Looks the same this season and could possibly make a run)

The Saints that year started 0-4 with a week 2 loss to the Bucs only to finish 7-9.

So there you go, heard it here first. A repeat of 2007 season.

For starters, there is nothing in this team that makes me believe they could go 7-7 for the rest of the season.

Second of all, if we aren't making the playoffs then I want a high draft pick to finally get a playmaker on either side of the ball.

Isn't that how we all felt during 2007 though?

We aren't winning 7 games short of injuries decimating other teams or our defense actually learning how to play defense. Oh, and if Sean Payton would stop running goddamn screen passes.

So... by your rational, we are coming off a 10-6 miracle 2014 season and making it to the NFC Championship game?

No. It felt like they were underachieving in '07. It feels like we aren't any good now.

My point. How old was colston? We had a TE then, I believe.

Before the season I said 5 wins, now I'm seeing 3-4 wins.

How are we not underachieving this season? The start of '07 was much worse than this season. Remember how many points we gave up in the first 4 games? I'll give you a minute to think about that. 119. That's 29.75 points against per game (36 points given up in the first two games fwiw). So far, our defense has given up 57 points in the first two games, which is 28.5 points against up per game. Not to mention the offense started off even worse in 2007 than it has so far. If you go off ppg in the first two games, in 2007 we were scoring 12 ppg while we are currently at 19 ppg. If anything, this team is slightly better than the 2007 team based on the first two weeks, which isn't saying much.

Reasonable expectations of the talent on the team. I didn't expect to lose to Tampa but if you told me Brees couldn't throw for 2/3rds of it I wouldn't be surprised.

This team is terrible. This is the worst Saints team I've seen in the Payton era. They'll be lucky to win five or six, much less seven.
