Brees was responsible for 7 points off the pick 6. The Lions missed the FG after his first INT.

yeah, ole Drew didn't have his best game yesterday. But to his credit, he had been mistake/turnover free before yesterday so far this season.

the only game where I feel like the defense was just embarrassed was the Pats game. The opener against the Vikings could have been way better if they collect the turnovers on Cam Jordan's tipped pass near the goal line and the fumble later on by Latavius Murray. frick how many yards teams give up anymore, its about the explosive Turnover plays that were piling up like crazy for the Saints D yesterday.

12 batted/deflected passes too.

doubt we'll see that EVER again!!!!!!!!!

1 pick 6 (7 pts off of Drew)

1 punt return TD (7 pts via special teams)

that's 14 pts you can wipe off the defense's ledger

so net 3 pts conceded by the defense is technically correct

and to be fair... the INT off of Mike Thomas' hands shouldn't have been an INT... that should've been a catch

but alas... much like they say in basketball when a free throw is missed right after a questionable foul... ball don't lie when the Lions missed that ensuing FG attempt

For week six the saints defense scored 32 fantasy points using the espn standard scoring. That is the second most points scored this week (behind Melvin Gordon at 36). It is also the most fantasy points scored by a defense this season. I would say it was a pretty good effort.

38 - 7(Brees' pick 6) - 7(punt return td) - 21(points our D scored) = 3

Our defense gave up a net of 3 points despite 2 other turnovers and ineptitude on third downs (2/12; none in the last 25 minutes) by our offense, and another big punt return given up on top of the pick 6 and punt return td by Detroit.

Anyone looking at that game and saying the defense played bad doesn't know what the frick they are talking about.

That only looks better on the defense, holding Det to a long FG attempt they missed.

Point still stands that Brees' 2 picks should have been 10 points for Det, even if one wasn't really a pick.

Shouldn't defense be rated on how well they did in fantasy football like most other positions??? They scored 32 points in my league sooo A++ performance.

The offense struggling never bothers me. Plus up until midway through the 3rd they were playing really well. It happens. Defense took their throat off their necks and allowed those two TD passes to let the momentum slip but regained their composure and closed out. If the offense had been able to sustain at least one more drive, that game wouldn't have been as sweat inducing.

Except...they didn't.

They gave up 24.

How did I not get an interview with Bristol again?

They stopped running their offense and started trying to drain the clock. If we keep running our offense we end up with 70+. I don't think CSP wants to be the guy who completely embarasses an opponent. We're not Texas Tech. The record is 72 and I feel like We could have done that if we had kept the foot on the gas.

Brees was directly responsible for at least 10 of those (pick 6 and turnover in FG range).
By "turnover in FG range" are you referring to the 1st INT? How the frick is Brees responsible for the receiver letting the DB strip the ball from him on the ground? GTFO

Poor wording on my part, and I later said it wasn't really a pick.

I just meant it goes against Brees' stats. Wasn't trying to knock him. I'm not a Brees hater.

The Saints Defense also has the most fantasy points through the last 4 weeks. That is particularly impressive because we only have 3 games during that span.
