Perhaps discussed...but why not at least try a bomb/Hail Mary...hope for a D penalty, and then maybe a no-time hopefully unblocked FG to force OT?

Yeah I really have no clue what the goal was there. Either do what you said or do what they did and start lateraling the ball and try and break something. But to just throw a short pass and run up field and get tackled made no sense.
