I knew I was gonna get something like this. Still, that is money paid out and yall still won the Super Bowl

It was more of an overcoming statement

Anyways, Mankins had 3 years left on his contract with a $20 million signing bonus

So do you feel we lost this trade or not? From an outsiders perspective. I'm torn. If they fill more needs and hit on drafts then obviously this was a great move, but I don't even know how to feel about this and I hate losing that 4th round pick.

I think the majority of the board went towards Gronk actually.

The majority of the board hated Jimmy

Well I'd take a healthy Graham over an injured Gronk. Those are completely different circumstances with ? about Gronk's health

The reasonable saints fans during that discussion admitted Gronk was better overall.

Jimmy is better offensively. But overall the better player is Gronk

Gronk is more of the total package. It was debatable from 2011=2013 because Gronk was having lots of injury problems. I love Graham, but the guy did become soft in key moments (maybe it was injury) and his blocking isn't as good as Gronks. However, he was still an extremely valuable weapon. I'm in the middle for this trade to be honest.

I'm torn on it. I like the logic behind it I just have 2 problems with it

1) why Seattle? I wouldn't have been that desperate to trade him to a conference rival with a low first rounder and already owns the conference

2) it's a little too much like toeing the water... If it's a complete rebuild then get rid of everyone EXCEPT your young play makers. And if it's to get better than you need to do more than a couple young guys and a center that's on a 1 year deal

Idk, it's just weird to me

They're both offensive players. If you say Graham is better offensively then how the hell can you still say Gronk is better in the same sentence? Is he better defensively?

Clearly, Gronk is the better TE and is the best in football.

Let's just forget the fact that Gronk went through a whole bunch if injuries.

It was a legit question at the time, and if you are saying otherwise you are lying your arse off.

Obviously Gronk is the superior player when healthy at this point.

Graham vs Gronk was a legitimate argument at one time. Jimmy was cheap and producing at a high level, Gronk was injured.

When comparisons are that close, of course fans of Team A will slant towards the player on Team A.

It never mattered much to me, but to act like it was never close is just revisionist history.
