It's hard to have a downfield threat when we never run the football. Also, Brees hasn't hit an accurate past today, and even if we did, the line doesn't give him enough time.
We don't need a downfield threat.
We need to run the ball and the short pass offense. That's what we do. Deviating from it is stupid.

the fact that no one has come in to dispute this or downvote or wahtever shows how uncontroversial this is. A year ago? Different story. Now it's obvious Payton is driving this team into a ditch.

It almost feels like CSP is working against us.
Hiring Jeff Ireland was a good call, obviously.
But CSP is holding on to his buddies despite their incompetence.

I thought in the offseason that all of the Saints moves were appropriate and necessary. I think the moves will pay off in 2016.
I just never dreamed that they would fall off the cliff this fast. I thought they were a 6-8 win team and obviously I was wrong.
The 2014 team just didn't care.
The 2015 team just isn't good enough.
