Saints are better than the Chiefs. We went into a hostile environment and could have (should have) won. Few bad breaks didn't go our way. If you were thinking Super Bowl this year, I feel sorry for you. I like this team. They compete unlike the last couple years. Last year we lose that game 41-17. We're 1, maybe 2 years away. Drew hasn't shown any signs of a decline. Defense will get better. This team is exceeding expectations, IMO. Could be 4-2 or 5-1 at this point. Remember the 2008 season? We built on that and won it all the next year. It's gonna happen again.

We lost. That's all that matters.

I both disagree with your point and find it irrelevant.

Bottom line is woulda coulda shouda. BUT I agree with you. The fact that we are 1 play away from winning every game every week points to how close we are to being a serious contender. I would not be surprised if we go 8-8 and go on a serious run next year

Dear god that is some super fandom right there.

Bree's has to play lights out HOF type outing for this team to win. Today he didn't and they lost. Last week he did and they won by 1 point. W/o Bree's saints are 1-15. With Bree's 7-9

My post is NOT about this season.

ETA: And we won by 3 last week a-hole.

I agree the effort displayed by the D this year is way better. It's just so hard to win on the road when you make mistakes like we do. I can see them going 8-8 when we get back some bodies on D

This has been said for nearly every loss going on three years now

Time to accept what this team is

the most disappointing part about this season is the all of the injuries to this team. Hopefully some the guys can make it back and things will we better.

the officiating this year in the NFL is the worst I've ever seen. I'm so disappointed in what the league has become.

its not just a Saints thing with these refs, its a league wide problem.

100% correct. It's happening in college too. I really don't see it getting better as they continue to suffocate the game with more and more rules"for player safety" either.

We are a year or two away from contending. But we are doing the right things with getting younger and trying to build through the draft. But goddamn we are always snakebit with injuries. Cant win like that no matter how much talent you have on the roster.

No. The better team won today, sadly.

Or even playoffs for that matter

Agree with that. They don't quit, which makes it more frustrating to see how badly we've squandered the talent and depth on this team.

Defense will get better.

One has to think they can't get worse

This team is exceeding expectations

Being 2-4 is exceeding expectations? Good lord.

I wish I could agree but the Chiefs have so many things we don't right now. We're only better at the qb and wr spots

college ball is almost like watching 7-on-7 nowadays. Just depends on the teams you are watching and what conference it is.

the way the game has changed is a letdown for me. I'll still watch because that's what I do but just not with as much interest.

the player safety thing doesn't even bother me the most. Its the tick tack flags for illegal contact or the inconsistency with the calls that are super annoying to me. I was actually surprised they let a few of the hits on Alex Smith go yesterday to be honest. But one game won't make a difference, its going to get worse before it gets better.

Sunday The Saints are not the better team. Maybe they could have been, but they weren't Sunday.

It has been terribly inconsistent. Too many calls to determine the outcome of games are left in these incompetent officials hands.

Lmao, we are rarely the better team these days and that's what absolutely infuriates me about this franchise. I understand that there's a lot more to this game than X's and O's but my god, this team makes it seem like it's rocket science to put a team together. I have never seen a defense, hell, a unit be as consistently bad as our defense is EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Jesus, I know there's stunts, blitzes, assignments and so on but at the end of the day, you go get the guy with the ball and how we continue to find 11 men who just seem to have no care in the world for doing so on a week in, week out basis makes me wanna bang my head against the wall.

shite, no wonder Brees made us give him that deal, I'd want every penny too if it meant I'd have to carry a shite defense week in and week out. Then Payton goes out and trades up to get Mark Ingram only to run him 10-15x a game. Coaching 101 tells you that if your defense is garbage, kill the clock and keep the defense off the field, not that hard of a concept to pick up. My only hope is we land a stud like DE Myles Garrett or CB/S Jabrill Peppers in the draft and begin cutting all the dead weight like Byrd, Jenkins, Laurinaitis, Ellerbee who seem to be here for paychecks and not much else. Oh, and fire Dennis Allen, too.
