More great moves by our top executives letting these guys leave over a few dollars

And then we get no return from our huge investments in Thomas, Peat, Davenport, Lattimore, McCoy and Kamara!

Trade all these frickers and start rebuilding.

Armstead was too expensive

Everyone on this board, except me and maybe a couple others, wanted Hendrickson gone. Nice hindsight there pal

Uhhh...

Everyone and their mother kept bitching about how many games Terron had missed each year.

Armstead has been hurt again this year. For what he’s getting paid, you need him out there. Both players got paid big contracts. We can’t afford to pay anyone with a big contract with the cap situation we are in.

All of this. He’s had a great year by his standards as he’s only missed 2 games with 2 others games where he played in less than 50% of the offensive plays. The consensus with him has always been he’s great when healthy, but you can’t rely on him because you don’t know how many games he’ll be healthy

We couldn’t afford to keep Hendrickson. Same goes for Marcus Williams. Armstead is so damn injury prone that it’s hard to justify what we he cost when you have to pay someone to play half the games for him. Same reason we let Analzone walk.

I will say I complain about keeping Peat. I have no idea why we resigned him.

And we should have payed Vonn Bell and kept CJCG. This would be a much different team the them playing safety.

What is this crap? Davenport is still on his rookie contract. Lattimore, McCoy and Kamara are some of our best players! Why wouldn’t we keep them? Thomas’ injury is starting piss everyone off, but he had a record breaking season after he got paid. And his contract compared to what other WRs got this past year looks reasonable in hindsight.

Great idea, the we can have the same exact fricking thread next year bitching about our front office next year because those players are probowlers lmfao

Add to that that he played in 45 of 71 games as a Saint. He was hurt a lot here. He also only had 1 really good season in terms of sacks, his last. Prior to that, his best was 4.5 sacks

Why would you expect rational thinking here?

We didn't let Henrickson leave over a few dollars. We couldn't even get close to what the Bengals offered him you dummy.

Both players are easy to root for and overall were liked here. Hendrickson has improved his run D where here he was very weak against the run. Sucks we couldn’t keep him during his prime. TA is up there in age and still demanded big money, some point got to let him go, granted, we’ve struggled at LT this year.

He wasn’t weak it was obvious he was gonna get better that was an all time stupid move by the organization that one is #1 … Davenport is a complete bust at least we got solid guys in the other spots.

To be fair to the guys we have playing LT, you could list every position on the team (including coaches) and it would still be an accurate statement

Although, struggling at the OC & HC positions would actually be an improvement

No kidding - board is full of tards. He had a breakout season his last year with us and everyone knew we couldn't afford him bc we were already in bed with Davenport and Cam.

I understand and I even felt there was a lot of potential with him, especially long term but I disagree, with us his run D struggled. Pass rush was great but I can remember many times TEs blocking him out of the way on run downs. Wish we had him, to be fair, we couldn’t even afford to bring Malcom Brown (am I remembering his name right?) back, who was our best run Dlineman.

I wish we still had him also

The same posters who claim we let so and so go complain about being millions over the cap for years to come.

Yep - how much are we still paying Brees and add in the wasted $ on MT.

6 sacks this year.
Still meh vs the run.

We miss him, but all things considered we need to reset our overall costs. Guys like cam and DD should ring chase if it's important to them.
