T/F Brandon Marshall will see the field with the Saints

Been with the team for 4 weeks now, is he just for depth now?

If Ginn is coming back soon I think we cut Marshall. If not, he ain't seeing the field unless injury. But I just knocked on wood so there wouldn't be an injury. Dez would legitimately help this team, and probably will next year, Marshall isn't gonna outdo any of our current players.

I’m not sure Marshall sees the field if Ginn comes back or unless someone gets hurt. I was kind of surprised Arnold was a healthy scratch yesterday.

No. He is just insurance plan/roster depth.

Yeah he seems like an obvious cut when Ginn comes back.

i honestly thought he was going to contribute here
then i honestly thought he was going to need more time to learn the complicated play book
at this point its clear they dont think he can still play so he is there just for depth in case of injury and will be the first cut they make at receiver
i had hopes he could help us but after 4 weeks there is no denying he cant "earn" his way onto the field short of an injury

We signed Marshall before we knew what we had with Kirkwood. I thought that was obvious.

Sean Payton and Brees keep using the word "patience" when discussing Marshall.
I have a feeling the Playoffs hold many surprises.

I think the coaches know who and what they have on the team tbh. He wasn't hiding

Might see him in the playoffs in some special packages. Not sure if it’s an issue with space on the roster or what. But like most people on here, I agree, when Ginn is back, doesn’t look good.

It would be nice to have another big imposing wideout with good hands in the redzone outside of michael thomas

This. With Brees, he doesn’t need the separation he used to get.
We just need him for some jump balls and back shoulder throws. He doesn’t need to master the playbook for those.
Let Ginn stretch the field.

Maybe they are waiting until his conditioning improves, since he was inactive for so long.To preprevent him from getting injured like Dez Bryant did.

No. Shouldn't have never signed him

This. IIRC I read somewhere that Dez was going to be stashed until very late in the season and for the playoff run. Not sure why Marshall would be any different from Dez considering they were both brought in around the same time presumably for the same purpose.
Let the young guys gain some experience until Ted Ginn comes back and add Marshall to that mix knowing if it doesn't work out you have some young guys with PT under their belts to step in and maybe contribute.

He is what to us Chad Johnson was to the Patriots. Way past his prime WR who you hope could make a catch in spots the limited time he is on the field.
