Superdome renovations

Are they ever going to get rid of the multi-colored seats? I can't find anything regarding this....the new seats in plaza and club look great. But even the club endzones and terrace are still multi-color....god I hope they plan on finishing this....

i think they are pulling more out before next season... was a phase 2 of the seats... this is all off of memory.

I love those pics Breesus...Ive seen a few, and they are amazing.
Yeah, Chadboy....thats what I thought. Thought it would be done before next season, and before the Super Bowl for sure.....one could only hope.

I know they pulled out a bunch more for this last season and will probably do more for the next. Doubt they get them all done, even though it would look awesome for the Super Bowl.

I highly doubt they will ever do that in the terrace sections.. we seem to be the redheaded step child when it comes to these renovations.

Are they ever replace the missing black tiles on the ceiling? Hate looking up and seeing those holes when everything else looks pretty good.

The only thing they need to do is replace the small end zone scoreboards with some huge HD scoreboards.

Saw an interview on NOLA.com with the guy running the show for all the renovations. He said the reason they didnt change the terrace seats was funding. Said if they got the funding, they'd change those too.

If they're not being changed prior to the Superbowl than they will obviously not be changed for quite a while.
Ditto for a large HD video board as well, obviously.
Would love to see both happen but you have to admit the Superdome is a top 15 NFL stadium again (probably top 10), which 10 years ago would have sounded ludicrous to propose. (If you tried to build the Superdome from scratch today it would probably cost close to what Jerryworld cost when you factor in the parking garage, the extra halls, club space, suites, etc.)
Katrina definitely saved the life of the Superdome and quite possibly the New Orleans Saints.

Why not a mega screen across the field ala Jerry's World where old gondola hung back in the day? Would be awesome! I'm certain the structure could support this since the old gondola was probly 10X the load of todays LED 1" wide screen technology!
