Lost to the Bucs at home. Don't care. No excuses.

I believe they've all drawn at least 2 of Houston, Tennessee or Jacksonville. The Saints have all 3 left. It will even out.

It depends on what team shows up. Saints v Eagles team will get a top 5 pick. Saints v Falcons team will be in the wild card race. I think we end up around 7-9.

There's so many bad teams right now... even as bad as we've been I saw yesterday that if the season ended today we'd draft 9th... 9TH!!!

yeah, that sucked.

I really think we played Arizona a better game on the road and then laid an egg in the home opener.

I mean Tampa Bay was coming off an arse beating to TEN and sometimes that is the type of situation you don't want to see in your next opponent. I remember thinking that they would come in and bother the hell out of us but I'd thought for sure we'd win. God... awful.

they gave us a few chances to win it towards the end too which is what really makes that loss ugly as hell.

Brees was injured pretty bad during most of that game.

For the most part, division games in the NFC South are usually pretty close no matter how good or bad a team is. If Brees would have been healthy, we would have probably won that game IMO. While I think the Panthers are much better than us, we only lost by 5 points. The Falcons are playing better than us, but we won by 10.

I don't really think you can look at those games to see what kind of team we are. The next three weeks will tell us a lot about this team. We aren't great, but we aren't as bad as everyone thinks. We are rebuilding. We are a 7-9/8-8 type of team IMO. Take the good with the bad, don't get too high or too low. (which I know is impossible for this fan base.)

And we were playing with half of our starting defense.

What?

Walterfootball has us taking Laquon Treadwell at #9.

CBS Sports had us at 7 last week with good player available at #9.

There is no LeBron James or Anthony Davis in the draft who will make this team a contender next year.

OBJ was drafted 12th, C.J. Mosely was 17, and Sheldon Richardson was drafted 13th. Luke Motherfricking Kuechly was drafted 9th!!!

People need to lose the tanking mentality. It can work in basketball. It doesn't work in the NFL. Ask Detroit and Cleveland and Jacksonville and the Raiders.

My comment had nothing to do with tanking. Obviously you can get great players at #9 (although it's obviously better to pick #1 than #9 assuming your record is going to stink no matter what). I'm simply lamenting the fact that as bad as we've looked at times, and as bad as our record is on track to be, we would still be drafting at the end of the top third of the draft. That's an amazing commentary on how many bad teams there are out there right now.
