He just got released from Detroit. If you follow the NFL, you know what a solid player he has been. Should we? He's 31, had to come off field sometimes on obvious passing downs, had 107 tackles and 1 sack(Stephone Anthony had 112 tackles and 1 sack). Would be nice IF the price is right.

Edit: He just got officially released. They waited because it save them an extra $1.3 million to wait. I'm reposing to see if we'd discuss this due to the Kikaha injury. I know Tulloch is inside or middle linebacker type but still would like him to teach out young LB core.

We don't need a two down linebacker.

I agree. But if we go 3-4 he can be inside with Anthony. Also, would you rather have him or ellerbe? Tulloch is a tackling machine with tread still on the tires.

We're not going 3-4 though.

rotoworld blurbs are pretty good at summarizing IMO...

Returning from a torn ACL, Tulloch started all 16 games in 2015, playing 737 snaps in his age-30 season. Tulloch turned 31 last month. Tulloch has always been a tackling machine, but was no longer a three-down player last season. He'll likely be limited to low-base, incentive-laden offers in free agency.

After tearing his ACL celebrating a sack three games into 2014, Tulloch was a part-time player last season, logging just 69% of the defensive snaps.

Despite WLB DeAndre Levy sitting on the sidelines with a hip injury, Tulloch was not used in an every-down role against the Vikings. Instead, the Lions rolled out Josh Bynes in the middle, who was on the field for 100 percent of defensive snaps.

---at the right price, sure, looks more like a player in decline to me. Reminds me of Curtis Lofton (benched in Oakland by Week 5)

We have too many LBers that suck in coverage, bringing in another one via FA won't solve much w/ this defense

Nope.
Lets hope we can find another starter in the draft to go with Anthony and Kikaha.

I wish Vilma could come in and help Anthony get up to speed quicker cause he did very well for his first year.

Oh wait we have Vitt

I just love the guys game. He tackles everything in sight and he COULD be cheap. I say it's worth the risk and draft a lb later in draft. Or see if Tull can play.

Intense leader also, let's be honest here in 4-3 packages do you really want Kikaha playing olb? Of course he's a saint so some of you will convince yourselves, but no he's a liability there in coverage and the run, pure pass rusher

Dude is the intense leader type also, sign him for the cheap and let him rub off on Anthony- Jack/Smith

Use him for about 15-20 plays at either ILB or OLB when the offense comes out in heavy run formations

Bump for reasons I said in the edit. Just curious if anyone's mind has changed.
