Speaking as objectively as possible, we probably lose one more game this season.

49ers, Bengals, Ravens, @Steelers, Panthers, @Bears, Falcons, @Bucs

I know that we don't lose at home, but we probably go 2-1 in that upcoming stretch. The Steelers are about the same caliber team as Carolina. They allow 4.5ypc, which is good for 24th in the NFL. Ingram will own them. Panthers and Falcons have little shot in the Dome. Bucs are garbage. Bears have 5 weeks to become functional again, which would make for a tough game if they do, but their defense is a hot mess.

Even if we go 6-2 over the final 8, we may still get the #2 seed if the Packers win the North. SF and Seattle will both be better over the second half of the season. I think that the Cowboys are about to fall off with Romo's injury, and Philly will run away with the #1 seed (best case scenario for us playing on the road).

Things are looking good, sons!

the 49ers played us so close last year. Other than ATL, I don't think anyone came close to beating us at home.

at least the Saints will have some more days to rest now to get ready for them.

I think its a 12pm kick too so that works as another intangible in our favor. Usually west coast teams don't fare as well in this spot.

I really think that we can. I really wish we had a prime Byrd playing for us right now. He was outright bad, but he was coming off of an injury and Ryan was doing him no favors with the schemes. Not denying that he took some AWFUL angles while quasi-healthy.

With this simplified scheme I think Byrd would be balling out right now. It's killing me that he's on IR.

i know they've gotten off to a good start but I think hit a skid coming up soon.

their offense is kind of overrated in my opinion.

I'd be happy with winning out at home, and taking 1/3 away games though.

Yeah, I'm not prepared to let 4 awful games override 5 superb years (missing a very reasonable 7 of 80 games in that span).

Would win NFCS, but I'm being optimistic and hoping for the 2 or 3 seed. Very possible if we win 3 of 4 between 49ers, Bengals, Ravens, @Steelers. We need to root against Detroit almost as much as we pull for the Saints.

@ Pittsburgh looks like it is the toughest. They can be dangerous on offense. But i don't think they'll be able to stop the Saints O, especially if the running game is still going the way it is now.

Saints won in Chicago last year and harassed Cutler all day. Marshall wasn't a factor but Jeffery had a big day if I remember right.

The team that worries me the most at this halfway point is the Ravens and Cincy. When they're dialed in, they look like contenders.

I think our home win streak breaks with one of them. I think the mini-bye we get before the 49ers when they have to play a very underrated Rams team is going to be to our benefit.

I think Steelers may beat us as well, Antonio Brown is showing he should be in top 5 consideration and LeVeon Bell has slimmed down and looks nimble. Our defense can have their hands full, but same goes for Pittsburgh defense. Dick LeBeau is a masterful DC, so I wouldn't expect any less from the best game of the season too.

Bears are reeling, Panthers at home seem easy enough, Falcons play us close, but we get this one, and tampa bay is in full rebuild mode.

I expect us to go 7-1 at best; 5-3 at worst to end the season.

3 victories from the division (CAR, ATL, TB)
1 victory from SF
1-3 victory from Bengals, Ravens, or Steelers.

@Pitt is probably the toughest game left, but it's not like they're great. It really depends on which Big Ben shows up. Their defense is pretty much in shambles.

@Chicago would be tougher if they get their shite together, but they're having serious locker room problems in addition to a shite defense.

SF at home will be tough, but we've got momentum right now and the crowd will be insane.

Cincy looks tougher than they are. They're falling off and AJ Green supposedly won't be 100% this year.

Ravens are in the same tier as the Bengals. Not an easy win, but no one on that team scares me. I wanted Mosley more than any realistic Saints picks in this draft and he's lived up to that billing, but I picture Flacco REALLY struggling against us in the dome.

Panthers and Falcons in the Dome aren't shite. Neither is playing in Tampa in week 17, where their front office is probably hoping for a loss for draft position and all of the players are checked out.

Care to expand on that?

Even if we lose 3 more, that still gets us in the playoffs so long as Carolina isn't one of them.

See, this is the problem, you capricious superfans get too deep in the shitter when they lose and too high in the clouds when they win.

We can win out IMO.

Sure, we lose 2 more on the road because none of those are gimmes and we lose one at home because we're not going undefeated at home another year. But, yes we win the division.
