I agree that Mingo/Jones is the pick, but they have to be there! Media reporting that the spinal stenosis is a red flag and teams have taken Jones off their board completely could be gamesmanship that comes w the draft

elam is a ferocious safety but he couldn't catch a minnow in a bucket with a strainer at the combine.

Looking thru my SEC glasses (LSU glasses really bc he destroyed us), Elam definitely looks like a beast, but I haven't seen any "expert" rank Elam ahead of Vacarro. And it's not like KV is ranked high bc he put on a show at the combine.. He had a decent workout, not great. There's something about his film that they like

That is true, but after watching multiple highlight of the year candidates where some rb breaks 5-9 tackles and then makes Roman look like a school girl tryin to catch a butterfly.....I'll take a hard-hitting safety that can actually tackle over a finesse one that can catch. Elam will force a lot of fumbles in his career.

But Roman's in the box skills are pretty good and he's probably damn good comparable in the NFL of other SS safeties.

I just can't get onboard with any love for Harper. He can't run, can't tackle, can't cover, and can't catch. Did I miss anything? People say he can rush the passer, why? He had six sacks two years ago when he blitzed every down. I'd say that's pathetic. Not to mention he got 3 in the same game against the Bears when no one blocked him. No one. Unabated to the QB. Congrats. Great job. Corey White should be moved to safety and let's go from there.

I agree w everything about Harper. He's been nothing more than a glorified OLB that can't tackle.

The bills, titans, chargers, dolphin are all up in the air IMO. Their picks could go in any direction and impact whether or not Jarvis is still there at 15

I also Kige with you on Harper, but Vacarro is still not the 15th best player in this draft.

evidently 410 tackles since 2009

little slower, can tackle, can cover but not overly well, and not many SS can catch. If the SS were faster and had more cover range that could catch, they'd be a FS.

Cause he does have that skillset. The blitzes over the past year or so have been horribly schemed.

Most qb sacks in the league happen this way. Damn you do damn you don't.

He's got the physique that we're looking for in corner, lets let him develop before we Usama him.

I agree. Everyone acts like he's supposed to be Champ Bailey. Sure, he's a liability in coverage but so are most SS. He has no business covering Vernon Davis or Tony Gonzalez 1v1...just like most other SS in the league
